Current we have difference in ammo for guns and bow/xbow, and its not look fair.
My suggestion is to add in Vendor-Tron 1000 ammo named solid arrow ( 200 arrows in stack , 8.5 dps ) tradable for 200 solid crafted shot.
Blizzard use similar trade mechanic to equal gun/bow/xbow ammo for lv60 chars, where you can trade 200 thorium shells for 200 thorium headed arrow - horde / alliance quests
